Built Up Roofing

Built Up Roofing, also known as BUR, is a popular option for commercial or industrial buildings with a flat or slightly pitched roof.  BUR roofs get their name because the installation process involved applying several layers of roofing to ultimately form a membrane that is extremely resistant to weathering and leaks.  These roofs are commonly made up of layers of asphalt, tar, gravel, and bitumen.

Along with being very easy to install, Built Up Roofs are very manageable when it comes to damage and leaks.  By simply patching any damaged areas or re-sealing any seams, BURs are built to stand the test of time.  Also, additional layers, such as a UV resistant coating, can be applied to add extra protection from the harsh summer sun, keeping your building much cooler and comfortable.
